Broos: All of South Africa will not be happy if...

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos said nothing but a win will do when South Africa takes on Zimbabwe in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Broos' troops will host The Warriors at Free State Stadium on Tuesday evening for what will be match-day four of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Although Zimbabwe are still looking for their first win of the qualifiers from three attempts, Broos has warned that it would be a mistake to underestimate them.

"Injuries? There are no injuries, maybe a little doubt on Percy but I think there will be no problem," Broos said.

"But as I said, we have to win it. I will not be happy if we don't win. Not me alone, all of South Africa will not be happy if we don't win tomorrow.

"We are on schedule, if we win and that's the most important thing. It's a tough group. You see everyone can win against anyone and if you can make a plan, I think if you can win your games at home you will be very close.

"Because like the situation is now, we have two more home games. So Lesotho and Zimbabwe will not play in their country.

"But maybe it can change because we played Liberia here but six months before they couldn't play in their country, it changed, and we had to go to Liberia.

"So what the circumstances are now is that we have seven home games, seven times three is 21 points.  I think we qualify.

"So it's a chance, but it's possible. So let's start with a victory tomorrow."

"I'm confident like I always am with the team. I know the boys, I know that they will be ready. But then again every game has to be played and let's hope that after the 90 minutes, we can keep the three points in South Africa."
