Matthew Booth confident Bafana will beat Libya and qualify for AFCON 2019

South Africa are second in Group E with nine points, while Libya are third on seven points. Bafana only need a draw to qualify for Egypt.

"With regards to Bafana Bafana, I'm very confident that we will get three points on the day," Booth tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I did the game in Durban in September, and I was a little bit concerned about our right-hand side in front of Rama Mphahlele. The Libyans were exposing that little pocket to the right of Dean Furman, and in front of Rama who was playing right-back. They were using the gap between Rama and 'Tyson' Hlatshwayo who is playing the right-centre-back, and a lot of their attacks came from that pocket and in behind us.

"We have to be careful of that particular pocket, they've got two very good left-sided players who exploited that, and we were quite lucky to come away with a point on that day. I think we have to start on an attacking note.

"Psychologically the Libyans will be on the front foot, because they know that they have to get the three points. So we will be on the back foot a little bit in that regard. But if Baxter can get the team to mentally overcome that, and to chase the game right from the start, I believe we have the attacking power to get three points.

"I'm very, very positive about that. And yeah he's got a well-balanced squad and I still reckon that we have the ability to go through."
