Mamelodi Sundowns' CAF Champions League quarterfinals opponents are likely to be North African opponents though there remains a chance of meeting Tanzania giants Simba SC.
According to CAF, the four group winners are seeded and are drawn against teams that finish second in the other three groups as teams from the same group cannot be drawn against each other.

Group winners also play the second leg at home.
Then for the semi-finals there are no seedings and teams from the same group can be drawn against each other.
The draw – which will also determine the semi-finals path – is due to be held early next month after the end of the group matches being played on March 31 and April 1.
Group A
Holders Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and JS Kabyile of Algeria have already qualified.
Wydad play Kabyile at home in the last group match after the FIFA break and will most likely finish top of the group meaning Sundowns will avoid the defending champions if they also finish top of their group.
Group B
Sundowns expected to win the group as they are certain to win at home against whipping boys Cotonsport.
Al Ahly need to win at home against fellow contenders Al Hilal in order to finish second.
Group C
Raja Casablanca have already sealed their place at the top with 13 points while Tanzanian giants Simba SC have secured second place with nine points after three wins in a row.
Group D
Esperance (Tunisia) and CR Belouizdad (Algeria) are already through and their clash in Tunis will determine who finishes top between the two.
At present Esperance have the advantage of having more points and will also be favoured to win at home.
