Gomaa, 26, is widely considered one of the most technically gifted midfielders in Egyptian football but has often come under the microscope for his off-the-field behaviour.
And after failing to break in the Ahly squad since the arrival of Weiler in the off-season, the 14-time capped senior international lashed out on social media.
According to reports in Egyptian media, the former Nacional man claimed his exclusion has been unfair and as a result went AWOL for training.
Weiler has now looked to stamp his authority within the situation and confirmed Gomaa will no longer be part of the Red Devils squad.
"I know what Saleh Gomaa said. Every footballer has a technical part and a mental one," the former Anderlecht coach said.
"Saleh has the technical part, but not the mental one, and the proof of that is the fines he received by the club on more than one occasion.
"Saleh Gomaa will not have any role with us. I wish him luck with any other team."
According to KingFut, the Club of the Century board remain hesitant on selling Gomaa outright and will look to negotiate a loan for the rest of the season.
