The Sea Robbers will open their continental campaign against little-known Uganda Revenue Authority at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
Erasmus, who missed Pirates' run to the 2013 Champions League Final, is quoted as saying by the club: "I never played in the last one and it was painful for me so I'm happy that I have a chance this time round. I'm itching for it.
"African competition is important to the chairman [Irvin Khoza] and the club, so being part of it is special for me. I want to make an impact."
He added: "We've tried to find as much info about URA but it's not so easy. We're going in with the same energy we go into all games."
Myeni, meanwhile, is wary of complacency creeping in given the Soweto giants' Champions League exploits last season.
"We reached the Final of the CAF Champions League but that doesn't mean this game on Saturday will be easy. We have to guard against complacency," said the in-form winger.
"We created a bit of a reputation for ourselves by reaching the Final so the other teams know a bit more about us.
"We must take it one game at a time, as we do with all of them. We can't start planning too far ahead. It's all about the next one."
