Lyle Lakay has shared his thoughts on his return to the Mother City after completing a season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns to Cape Town City on Deadline Day.
Lakay was one of the few players who completed moves across the DStv Premiership on Deadline Day after returning to Cape Town City on a short-term deal from reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 31-year-old previously made 35 appearances for the club during the 2017/18 season before joining Masandawana and re-joins his former employers as the replacement for Terrence Mashego, who moved in the opposite direction earlier this month.

"It's a great feeling to be back," Lakay told the club's media team. "I'm looking forward to it and to the rest of the season. Cape Town City is an ambitious club and that's also one of the reasons why I agreed to come back and obviously they are in the Champions League as well.
"The Champions League is, as they say, the big fish, so I am hoping to contribute to the success of the club and I am happy to be back."

City head coach Eric Tinkler added, "We are obviously very excited to have signed Lyle Lakay. He's a player with a lot of experience, a player who has been at the club before and in terms of how he plays, he suits us.
"I think he's a fantastic replacement for Terrence Mashego who has left us and joined Mamelodi Sundowns so I'm extremely happy that we managed to land a deal and that he has come back to Cape Town City. His experience is going to pay a lot of dividends for us moving forward."
