Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila insists his team have not endured a slow start to the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season despite a solitary win from six league matches.
The Chilli Boys have gathered a total of six points from a possible 18, in their start to the current campaign.
Chippa have so far faced Royal AM, Cape Town Spurs, Mamelodi Sundowns, TS Galaxy FC, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

"What slow start? First of all, the fixture list was not a friendly one," Mammila tells KickOff.
"The fixtures were serious ones, the first five matches we played against the top teams in the country.
"We only lost to one of those matches against the top teams. That's not a bad start.

"We managed to win away in Cape Town, so that's not a bad start.
"If you check from fourth position down to where we are, it's only a one-point difference.
"So, to me, that is not a bad start."
Mammila added that he expects nothing less than a top-eight finish this season.
"I have tasted the top eight finish, now I know how nice it is. I want more.
"As for new signings, no we are not done yet."
The Chippa Mpengesi-owned club currently sit in 12th position on the DStv Premiership log table.
