Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates score R335000 for the underprivileged with Vodacom

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goals this season helped donate R335000 worth of food parcels to the underprivileged in Soweto this morning.

The Corporate social investment through their main sponsor Vodacom saw the telecommunications giant donate R5000 for every goal the two DStv Premiership club's scored this season.

With Chiefs netting 34 and Pirates netting 33, a total of 67 goals brought an overall tally of R335000 which was used to create the food parcels packed by the two squads of players on Monday.

Score for food

It may not have been the best domestic season for each side with the Buccaneers finishing in third and Amakhosi in eighth but their season has ended with a good cause.

The likes of Samir Nurkovic, Thembinkosi Lorch, Reeve Frosler and Wayde Jooste were among the host of players pictured at the event for the CSI initiative.
