After completing the deal to sign Congolese forward Christian Saile Basomboli from Zambian side Nchanga Rangers, the initial transfer payment of R2 million was revealed on the "What Chiefs paid for new Congolese forward" story.
In the story, it was also revealed that Amakhosi will pay Saile's former club performance-related add-ons for the three-and-a-half year deal.
A few readers weren't happy about Saile's transfer fee being compared to Sundowns' R51 million deal for Chilean baller, Marcelo Allende...
"R51 million is more than half of what Chiefs gets from sponsorships. Who will ever compete in South Africa with Motsepe and his mine billions?" says Rio Da Khosi.
"You can't compare a Ferrari with a [VW] Golf one," Saavedra.
"It is still far less than R1.45 [million] per month paid to Dolly for doing absolutely nothing," says samuelb.
"There is no player who is worth less than R5m at Sundowns, please don't compare Allende with amateurs," mashanyaselemela.

Without Allende and most of their regular starters, Masandawana extended their lead at the top of the DStv Premiership table with a 2-1 victory against TS Galaxy.
Rulani Mokwena's troops extended their 13-game winning streak, showing no signs of slowing down in their pursuit for another league crown.
Readers in the comment section of the "Sundowns clinch 13th successive win with Galaxy scalp" story were happy with the result and line-up, but were quick to point out one player as a 'weak link'.
"Good lineup but Ngobeni, hhayi no. He's not there yet at Sundowns with their style of play and pace," bhekilekhuleni6.
"Wow I'm so delighted with the changes, as for me, it's good so that we keep all the players motivated. The starting line-up is good," vgxako.
"Great line-up but the weakest link is Ngobeni. Maybe coaches see something at training. When Surprise Moriri retired, I thought we would never get another player to carry the baton, but Mshishi was in the making. I now see Mshishi's successor and we must guard him, I speak of Mbule. What a talent," says tshepolegodi.za.
