On the same day a Maimane Select comprising professional players from different clubs will play a Rotary XI in an exhibition match that will be preceded by another no contest match between the Players' Union and Cats.
The ladies competition for which R5 000 is at stake will be played this weekend at the Altrec Sports Grounds.
Retired star Shakes Kungwane, who was born and bred in Alex, will grace the competition along with several other stars born in the township like Brian Baloyi and Benson Mhlongo.
