JUST IN! Chiefs secure first-ever Diski title

Kaizer Chiefs have clinched the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge with a 3-0 win over Magesi FC on Saturday.

Chiefs entered Saturday's clash four points clear of second-place Stelllenbosch FC, after they were awarded a 3-0 walkover by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee as Chippa Unitd did not honour their clash earlier in the season.

The DC's decision meant that the Amakhosi only needed one win from their final two Diski encounters to wrap up the title.

Chiefs got that win on Saturday morning after defeating Magesi at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Stellenbosch FC 0-3 Marumo Gallants FC

Stellenbosch FC saw their seven-match unbeaten run come to an end in a 3-0 drubbing by the in-form Marumo Gallants FC.

The loss ends the Maroons' title aspirations, as Bahlabane Ba Ntwa followed up on their dominant display over SuperSport United to remain in mid-table.

Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 Sekhukhune United

Mamelodi Sundowns cemented third-place on the table with a narrow 1-0 victory over Sekhukhune United out at the Tuks Stadium.

Babina Noko looked to revive campaign while the Brazilians targeted a fifth successive victory to strengthen their grip on third-place.

Masandawana proved too strong for the visitors as Sipho Ngqakabana struck in the first half and confirmed the victory for his side.

Orlando Pirates 1-3 TS Galaxy

Orlando Pirates’ inconsistent campaign continued and succumbed to a 3-1 loss against TS Galaxy at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbiljpark.

It was a difficult start for the Buccaneers against Bernard Parker’s men and trailed in the last eight minutes towards the interval phase.

Parker’s men continued to dominate after halftime and added two more goals to put themselves in complete authority of proceedings.

The Buccaneers reduced the arrears ten minutes before the end when Neo Mokoena linked up with Siphamandla Msezane to find the net, but the Rockets still bagged victory.
