Peter Ndlovu embroiled in child maintenance saga?

Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Peter Ndlovu has reportedly found himself embroiled in a child maintenance saga. Check it out!

What Happened?

The former striker is struggling to pay for two kids because he is already shelling out for 11 more.

Ndlovu has appeared in a South African court after as a mother of two children demanded an increase in maintenance. 

The mother, who cannot be named. is said to be demanding R29 845 a month in child support for the two kids but Ndlovu appealed that order,  

Sundowns legend reportedly told the court that an increase would be a problem for the maintenance that he already pays for the other 11 children.  

According to the Herald, the Zimbabwean told the court about the challenges he faces with this increase. 

"I have 13 children, including the two with the first respondent,'' the 49-year-old told the court.

"I am obliged to contribute and see to the maintenance of all my 13 children.

"I earn a monthly salary which is utilised for my own living expenses, needs, necessities and liabilities, as well as to contribute to my dependants' expenses and other obligations.

"I can simply not afford a deduction of R29 845 per month from my salary.

"I approached the maintenance court at the earliest opportunity given my work commitments — on June 10 2021 — in order to establish how the order was obtained without my having any knowledge of the proceedings and to determine how the arrears were calculated," he wrote in his court papers.

The Herald claim that the high court have granted the mother R12 000 in maintenance 

The court order claims that Ndlovu was already more than R94 000 in maintenance arrears.
