New year, new opportunities
Every year presents new opportunities and with Khune having dropped down the pecking order in Stuart Baxter's side, the experienced shot-stopper now has a real shot at reclaiming his number one spot.
Current number one Daniel Akpeyi is set to miss all club action while he is at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon representing Ghana.
Chiefs will resume their season later this month as they will compete in the inaugural DStv Compact Cup, which is set to take place over the last two weekends of January 2022.
Now, with the former Bafana Bafana captain showing how focused he has been about getting into excellent shape ahead of the restart, he seems determined to outwit even Bruce Bvuma in his widely contested position.
