Kaizer Chiefs have announced the arrival of Cedric Kaze as the club's new assistant coach, following the unexpected and sudden exit of Fernando Da Cruz before he could literally sit on the Amakhosi bench.
The Soweto giants have finally secured a new assistant coach following the shock exit of Da Cruz, who had joined Amakhosi as part of Nasreddine Nabi's new-look technical team.

The Spaniard surprisingly pulled out of the mission at Naturena just a day before the start of the new campaign, forcing the club to start the brand-new Betway Premiership season without an assistant coach.

Kaizer Chiefs have appointed Cedric Kaze as the new assistant coach. This strategic addition to coach Nasreddine Nabi's technical team aims to bolster the Club's performance and aspirations for the season.#Amakhosi4Life #AlwaysHome
Meanwhile, Kaze is expected to add some real steel into Amakhosi's technical team and will undoubtedly be a welcome addition for Nabi.
Afterall, the Burundian was part of Nabi's backroom staff when he served as head coach at Young Africans – a partnership that yielded back-to-back trophies.

Since the exit of Cruz, Nabi has been vocal about the need for a replacement should Cruz indeed leave and is under no illusions about the mammoth task at hand.
"Why not? All is possible," the Tunisian-Belgian mentor told journalists after the 2-1 win over Marumo Gallants when asked if Chiefs needed a new assistant coach.
"It's possible because I have too much work, [to do at Chiefs]. [To work] only with one assistant is not [ideal].
"If Mr Cruz definitely goes to Morocco, I think it's good. We received a letter from Morocco, but we waited for a better time to observe the situation."
Having already reported at Chiefs' Naturena base in the South of Johannesburg, Kaze could very well be on the bench for Chiefs when they take on SuperSport United on Saturday evening at Loftus Versfeld.
