Chiefs' injury update ahead of Khune's farewell

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson has provided an injury update ahead of Kaizer Chiefs' final home game of the season, where they will take on top flight returnees Polokwane City.

Amakhosi will be looking to consolidate a Top Eight spot when they meet Rise and Shine on Saturday at FNB Stadium for their penultimate match of the campaign and what will be their final home game.

Ahead of the clash, Chiefs are faced with a lengthy injury list, with several players ruled out of action.

Speaking at the club's training base in Naturena on Thursday afternoon, Johnson issued an update on which players will likely not feature.

"We still have [Tebogo] Potsane out, we still have Keagan [Dolly] out, we still have Solly [Solomons] out, We still have Reeve [Frosler] out, I think that's the right number. I think those are the ones at the top of my head right now, but there could be a few more."

The Soweto giants will also have to do without the suspended trio of Edmilson Dove, Brandon Petersen and Pule Mmodi.

Petersen and Dove will be serving the second of their two-game suspensions after they were each shown a red card during the 2-all draw against TS Galaxy.

Mmodi is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
