Head coach Cavin Johnson has provided some insight on Kaizer Chiefs' stance over midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe, whose contract is set to expire at the end of June.
Amakhosi's Top Eight ambitions suffered a dent as they played to a 1-1 with AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday.
Ashley Du Preez opened the scoring early on, only for Victor Letsoalo to draw the home side level late in the first half.

The encounter also marked an eighth consecutive league appearance for midfielder Sithebe, equaling his longest run in a Chiefs shirt since his arrival ahead of the 2022/23 season.
But with his current deal with the Soweto giants set to expire at the end of June, questions have been raised about whether the club will opt to keep the dreadlocked star.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Johnson shed some light on Chiefs' stance over Sithebe's contract discussions.
"Sithebe is doing well, as far as football is concerned," the coach said.
"I think he (Sithebe) spoke the other day in the newspaper, where he said, 'We are not really worried about contracts at the moment, all we are worried about is playing football,' and he is getting the opportunity to play football.
"When you see people like that, then you appreciate what he does for himself as a human being, and what he does for football as a human being and what he does for Kaizer Chiefs.

"The contract issues and things like that, he knows what happens, it's either he stays or he goes. But is he here for... he's here to play football and that's what he's doing, he's playing football and we appreciate that very much."
Sithebe has endured a frustrating season with Chiefs, making only nine appearances so far, a far cry from the 28 he made last term.
