Kaizer Chiefs have announced that club captain Itumeleng Khune has signed a one-year-deal with the club, which will be his final contract as a player at Chiefs.
Khune is Amakhosi's longest serving player, with 19 years spent at Naturena from the development ranks up t the senior team in 2004, although he would only make his debut three years later under Muhsin Ertugral.

Since then, Khune has picked up over 10 trophies for Chiefs, including three league titles. He has also received numerous personal accolades, such as being voted the PSL Footballer of the Season and Players' Player of the year for the 2012/13 campaign, as well as the South African Sports Star of the Year.
In his penultimate season as a player at Chiefs, Khune made 13 appearances across all competitions, including a heroic performance in the MTN8 quarterfinals against Stellenbosch.

Alongside Khune, defender Sifiso Hlanti has also penned a one-year-deal while midfielder Cole Alexander leaves the club. Phuthutshedzo Nange makes the switch to SuperSport United and Siyabonga Ngezana moves to Europe where he joins Romanian outfit Fotbal Club FCSB.

The Kaizer Chiefs Village has also reportedly welcomed some new faces in Ranga Chivaviro, Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Pule Mmodi among the new signings.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi announced on Wednesday night that Molefi Ntseki – who was the club's head of Technical and Youth Development, would be taking over from Arthur Zwane as head coach, with Zwane and Dillon Shepperd to serve as Ntseki's assistants.
