Kaizer Chiefs will be taking the six weeks they have before the start of the Betway Premiership to finalize more signings, new head coach Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed.
Chiefs' lack of depth was exposed in their 4-0 defeat to Young Africans in the Toyota Cup pre-season friendly, after they returned to action with the same squad that finished tenth in the Premiership, their worst position post the 30 league games in the PSL.
Football experts have already pointed out that Amakhosi would still need reinforcements before they start their Betway Premiership.

Although the delay in league fixtures, which are set to commence only in mid-September has created a technical headache for the Glamour Boys, as they would have the disadvantage of lack of competitive action, compared to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
The gap until then has offered them an opportunity to strengthen the squad, after only confirming two new signings so far, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari and defender Rushwin Dortley.
Taking his players through their paces at the Naturena village, Nabi has admitted that they do need further quality and revealed that they are still working on completing further signings before the campaign gets underway.
"I'm very happy that I've got two new signings, they are needed in the team, most definitely. I do respect what the offer has got to do with regards to recruitment," Nabi said on SuperSport Blitz.

"However, the team do need certain players in certain positions that will meet the expectations of Kaizer Chiefs and the fans.
"The fans also have to understand that this is not a quick transformation, the club to be strong has to have quality players. However, definitely we will be signing players I won't mention yet but they are in line," the Tunisian tactician added.
Chiefs will open their Betway Premiership campaign against Marumo Gallants on 14 September, as per the revealed draft of fixtures.
