Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Manqoba 'Shakes' Ngwenya has high hopes for Gaston Sirino at Kaizer Chiefs, highlighting the player's potential and challenges.
The star has signed a two-year deal with the Soweto giants following his departure from Downs.

Ngwenya believes Sirino will bring much-needed confidence and experience to Amakhosi, which has been lacking in recent years and can be seen as a perfect replacement for the playmaker role that Chiefs have been missing.
"I think Sirino can still offer something, he is a good player, but it remains to be seen if he will be able to make Kaizer Chiefs tick," Ngwenya tells KickOff.
While Ngwenya acknowledges that many quality players have struggled to perform after moving from Chloorkop to Naturena, he remains optimistic about the Uruguayan's potential to make a difference.
"In the past, we've seen a lot of quality players leaving Mamelodi Sundowns but not necessarily doing that well when they got to Chiefs. But that doesn't make them bad players, it will be interesting to see if Sirino will make a difference at Chiefs. I think Gaston is a very confident player which is something that has been lacking there at Chiefs."

The attacker, who spent seven years at Downs, points out that the success of Sirino will depend on how well the team can adapt their style of play to utilize the strengths of the South American.
"He will bring that element of confidence and the experience of handling big crowds. He can add value. There are Sundowns players who went to Chiefs but couldn't make an impact. I'm talking about the style of play, Chiefs' style of play is not the same as the Mamelodi Sundowns one."
Ngwenya notes that the transition from Sundowns to Chiefs has been challenging for some players, but this does not necessarily reflect on their abilities.
"It remains to be seen how they will be able to use Sirino to the best of their advantage. Sirino is a quality player, and some people feel he still had a huge role to play in the Mamelodi Sundowns team," added Ngwenya.
