Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has explained why his side could not replicate the first-half performance in the second stanza after a 3-1 win over AmaZulu FC in the Betway Premiership.
Chiefs had a blistering start after scoring three goals in the first 23 minutes through Ranga Chivaviro, Gaston Sirino and Inacio Miguel.

However, Amakhosi were a different side altogether from the break, as Usuthu pulled a goal back two minutes into the second stanza through Etiosa Ighodaro and threatened throughout the second half, with the Glamour Boys largely holding on.
Nabi has suggested that the reason they did not live up to first-half expectations in the second stanza is that they scored three goals too quickly in the game.
"The first thing is we need to give credit to AmaZulu and his coach and we give respect to the coach," Nabi said, through a translator, on SuperSport TV.
"First half was very good, but the second-half…we scored the goals very quickly, so it was really hard to maintain the 3-1 [lead] positively but we still have a lot of to build on, it's still a positive result for us."
The Tunisian mentor went on and cautioned that it's still too early for the team to give a complete performance in only their second game.
"It's still the second match, a construction phase. We still have a lot of things to work on and we need some time because it's still the second match only," Nabi added.
