Chiefs to lose three keepers...

Kaizer Chiefs could be forced to spend the next FIFA calendar date without all three of their senior goalkeepers – Fiacre Ntwari, Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen.

Ntwari will have AFCON qualifiers duties with Rwanda to fulfil, with Amavubi travelling to Libya for a match scheduled for September 4, before they host Nigeria six days later.

The Chiefs new signing has played 10 of the last 11 matches for Rwanda, establishing himself as first choice under German coach Torsten Spittler.

Joining Ntwari away on international is Bvuma, who has been called up to the preliminary squad as one of five Bafana Bafana keepers along with Ronwen Williams, Ricardo Goss, Sipho Chaine and Veli Mothwa.

Bafana play Uganda and South Sudan in their opening group matches of the AFCON qualifiers on September 6 and 10, respectively.

The next FIFA calendar week will stretch from September 2-10, with the Betway Premiership then kicking off on September 14.

Chiefs goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi has already had to run his sessions minus Petersen, who has been battling with an unspecified injury.

The lanky net minder – who started in the Toyota Cup defeat to Young Africans – is now the most senior keeper at the club and is heading into his fourth year.

Should all three keepers be not available during the FIFA break, then Bontle Molefe (21) will be left alone.
