A 2023 Africa Cup of Nations side have received a handsome cash motivation for their upcoming quarter-final tie.
As Nigeria prepare to take on Angola in an encounter that will determine who will take one step closer to the trophy and who will suffer the pain of being knocked out, the Super Eagles have been handed some extra inspiration.

According to Score Nigeria, each player will receive a whopping $30 000 (around R559 355) cash prize should they reach the final of AFCON 2023.
This comes after the players were reported to have initially each received the same amount of money for making it out of the group stage, creating the potential for the stars to cop an enormous pay-day as a reward for the hard work they have put in thus far.
Currently, the Nigerian team stand to earn $1.3 million (R24 million) for making it to the quarter-finals, and if they make it to the next round, they could earn a staggering $2.5 million (R46 million).
The winners of the tournament, whether it will be the Super Eagles or any other of the remaining eight sides, will take home $7 million (R130 million) and while the runners-up may look at the trophy despondently, they would be cheered up by the $4 million (R74 million) reward waiting for them.
Speaking before the tournament kicked off, CAF president Patrice Motsepe highlighted the reasoning behind the 40% increase in prize money.
"CAF has made significant progress over the past two years in increasing the Prize Money of the AFCON and all its other major competitions," he said.
" I am confident that a portion of the Prize Money will contribute to developing football and also benefit all the football stakeholders, as well as assist our Member Associations with their administrations," Motsepe added.
