An African star has given away a pair of sneakers worth over R13 000 to a lucky fan!
Former Real Madrid star Emmanuel Adebayor took to social media to announce that he would be giving away two of his favourite sneakers to a lucky pair of fans.

All his followers had to do was follow him and comment on a post. However, they had to be very creative because the two comments that received the most likes would be the winners.
The first sneaker he gave away was a Giuseppe Zanotti Hi-Top White Snakeskin. According to Sneaker Files, the designer shoe that has the finest of leather and shrewdly designed zippers costs around $695 (R13 259).
Despite the steep price, one fan had been awarded the shoe... for free!

The second shoe up for grabs is the brand's Multicolour High Top Trainers, another prized possession of the former striker. According to pricing on eBay, the shoe goes for just over R2 000. Not nearly as much as the first, but the sentimental value attached to it makes it just as valuable!
