Zungu throws it back to the streets!

Bongani Zungu was spotted playing his role in inspiring some who may just be part of the next generation of players to come through in South African football.

It is not at all often that you see professional footballers escape the haven of their luxury homes and the comfort of their lavish cars to interact with the young people who look up to them and see them as role models.

So, when an athlete of Zungu's stature and influence does takes some time out of, what can be presumed to be, a very busy schedule to kick some ball with youngsters in the street, it is quite the heart-warming sight.

Additionally, the effect that words that come from his mouth may have on a young person should never be underestimated.

A video of the Mamelodi Sundowns star kicking a ball around in the street with two young boys, and advising the smaller one on how to make the correct contact with it while a blue sports car decorates the background is doing the rounds on social media, and it is wholesome.

While some took to the comments section of the Instagram post to praise Zungu for his spirit of "ubuntu", others found an angle of humour.

Check out what they said:

"He's finally understanding Ubuntu Botho. Love the new Sundowns culture of taking away the mentality of being a celebrity from the players," wrote karabodenotion.

"Hopefully he doesn't teach them how to tackle," said naid_011.

"Hopefully he doesn't break the poor kid's leg," says coolkiidjakes2.0.
