Ex-PSL star shows how to set up for business success after football

Keagan Buchanan is still doing big things off of the field, and is schooling footballers on how to set up a business that he could fall back on after his career.

While the Cape Town Spurs midfielder may now be playing his football in the NFD after the Urban Warriors were recently relegated from the top flight of South African football, the player is looking to make the big leagues in another industry.

Football and fashion have for a long while been intertwined and it has become more prominent in recent times, with stars attending fashion shows and taking to social media to express themselves in the clothes they decide to don.

So naturally, it seems like a smooth transition for Buchanan who will soon be launching his very own brand of clothing called NINE ONE, which will focus on dropping Luxury Athleisure Wear.

The star's interest in fashion has been well-documented. From the fiery urban fits to the clean suits, it was always evident that the midfielder knew how to dress.

He even admitted it himself, taking to social media to express his admiration for it, and revaeled that it is what he loves to do during his spare time.

"I finally get to showcase my second love after football. Those who know me, know how much I love fashion. So this is what I've been up to during my spare time, the past few off seasons whilst also balancing family life football - @nineoneclo coming soon!" he wrote.

The brand he has started is also a reflection of his fashion expertise, with the first drop set to be released very soon!

In a previous interview with Visual Grind Studios, the 33-year-old said that he wants to see other professional footballers follow suit and chase their ambitions off of the field.

"I want to see more athletes pursuing their passions outside of sports without judgment. That stigma needs to end. Also, local brand owners, let's elevate the clothing industry!"
