Khune at the beginning of his redemption arc?

With Itumeleng Khune having fallen out of favour at Kaizer Chiefs after recent controversy, the player's latest actions may just suggest that he is beginning his journey to redemption.

The man who has been a servant of the Soweto giants for over 15 years was reportedly stripped of the club's captaincy after his misconduct.

Khune was also ordered to go through rehabilitation away from the Soweto giants, according to Soccer Laduma, with the club themselves taking the necessary steps to intervene and help the goalkeeper.

Judging by what he has recently been spotted doing, the 36-year-old looks to be on the path of making up his for his transgressions by putting in the hard yards, literally.

A couple of weeks ago, he shared that he had completed a 10km run in a time of one hour and 14 minutes, while burning quite a few calories in the process.

Regardless of the position a professional footballer plays, it is always vital that they ensure they are in the best possible condition so they can be in tip-top shape whenever they are called upon.

More recently, he could be seen sweating it out in the gym, doing work with a medicine ball to perhaps ensure that his core is strong and his legs are ready to handle those explosive leaps that are needed to make an incredible spider man style saves.

He was also seen doing some barbell curls to help with the strength in his arms that would see him maintain his renowned distribution abilities.

The result of his hard work is also a body that most 21-year-olds would even be jealous of!
