Let's take a closer look at what they had to say...
KO Comments
Cape Town City chairperson John Comitis revealed Khanyisa Mayo's hefty price tag for the first time.
The joint DStv Premiership scorer with 12 goals has been strongly linked with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and league winners Mamelodi Sundowns and adding a twist to the transfer sage by committing to a new deal at City.
Comitis values Mayo at $2 Million (Over R38 Million) and believes the Bafana international can ply his trade anywhere in Europe.
Here's what the readers had in the "Comitis reveals HUGE Mayo price tag" story:
"R38 Million is a small bag of peanuts for Motsepe," says siphiwetyalana33.
"Mayo is overrated..." says kimusibeko.
"He's one of those overrated players, let's see if he's going to continue this form next season," says Eduardo Dos Santos.
"As a Khosi fan, R38 milion is peanuts to Downs. Remember one Marcelo Allende?" says gsithole.
"Chiefs needs him more, he can bench Billiat, Dolly, Saile, Bimenyimana and Shabalala," responds Dos Santos to the comment above.
"Comitis is in dreamland," says The godfather.
Read: Mohlala: 'Mendieta will struggle at Sundowns'
Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Lovers Mohlala does not approve of the club's reported interest in Stellenbosch FC forward Junior Mendieta.
The Argentine is believed to be close to a move to the DStv Champions, with Amakhosi also being linked with the 29-year-old, who bagged 10 goals and nine assists for Stellies during the 2022/23 season.
Mohlala was brutal in his assessment of Mendieta, dubbing him as "average" and "one dimensional" and feels there's far better South African players than the Stellies talisman.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Mohlala: 'Mendieta will struggle at Sundowns'" story:
"There are foreigners in our league who are here by default, have a look at Naturena and I think the point here is that he's a good player but nothing extraordinary by Sundowns standards," says Shikabala.
"The same was said of Mokoena, Williams, Maema, Shalulile, Mudau, Modiba, and Mvala who went on to shine and win big things at Downs," says Zam d buccaneer.
"Mendieta is one of those who will prove a lot of doubters wrong. He will help Sundowns so much on the wing," says makhause(2).
"What a mouthful speech. Nonetheless, Mandieta is a player like Bradley Ralani, even partly Thapelo Morena though Morena has upper hand as he's too versatile," says wintervme.
"He's being signed because he's on Chiefs' radar," says tebohotau02.
