Kaizer Chiefs general manager Bobby Motaung has hinted that more arrivals are expected at the club in addition to the seven signings completed this transfer window.
Amakhosi are reportedly in talks of signing former Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu forward Gabadinho Mhango as well as Bafana Bafana youngster Thabo Cele.
Bobby told SuperSport TV that Chiefs is looking at beefing up its frontline, adding that Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr will announce a player soon, but denied that Mhango is the striker in question.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Bobby Motaung hints at more arrivals at Chiefs" story:
"For sure, we need a striker and a good one at that. All of those crosses from Pule need a finisher this season. Then, we will be in business. I am not so sure what it is that this Cele business is really about? What is so wow about him? I think players who are already overseas must be supported to stay there and gain experience.
"Dr Irvin Khoza needs to make sure he addresses the rule of loanees not playing against the club that loaned them out. This needs to be taken away by PSL this season to improve the competitiveness of the league. Dr Irvin Khoza uyezwa Baba?! Money bags are weakening the league," says Khothakhosi.
"Relax Amakhosi, don't rush to sign players. Some of our players are injured, kuzolunga," says Lwazihnzimande.
"No news here mxm," says Mashifanae.
"What you put in = what you get out. Let the games begin, all the talk, promises shall be muted come August," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.
Read: Ellis responds to criticism of Banyana goalkeeper
Desiree Ellis has come to the defence of under-fire Banyana keeper Kaylin Swart ahead of their crunch World Cup clash against Italy.
Banyana have conceded four goals in the tournament so far against Sweden (2-1 loss) and Argentina (2-2), with Kaylin Swart facing criticism from supporters for her performances.
Ellis says she's not sure what the criticism aimed at Swart is based on and explained that her selection is based on her ability to play from the back.
There's also been suggestions that Andile Dlamini would've dealt better with some of the goals conceded due to her height, however, Ellis is not of that opinion.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ellis responds to criticism of Banyana goalkeeper" story:
"But Ellis is not really saying why she is not playing Andile, or did I miss that part?" questions Danito 4 Life.
"Wishing you all the best girls. Make us proud," says Zambroty.
"Swart was not bad at all between the sticks, though there were some stages where I felt she could have done much better," says Kidoman64.
"What makes Swart's situation worse, is the fact that there's a better player on the bench, who is there for no sporting reason," replies Danito 4 Life.
"The answer is simple Ellis. You are not a coach and you are just a former Banyana player, just like other former Banyana Banyana players," says Bhekilekhuleni6.
"The keeper should have done better with those two Argentina goals. Her positioning was questionable," says Onside.
"Hamba Ellis!! You replaced your regular GK only for back passes," says Cukkie.
"Banyana are a strange team in a way. I thought these girls are not professional players but play international football. There is no professional women football in Mzansi from what I know but they are African Champions!! Wow! I'm not sure what it is that Ellis is saying as to why she decided to drop her regular keeper for one with poor handling abilities. But she is the coach, we must trust her as she is there at every training session.
"I hope they can push and beat Italy to go on to the next stage of the World Cup. They really let themselves down for blowing away their two-goal advantage [against Argentina]," says Khothakhosi.
"Faka uDlamini wena, Dlamini is far better than Swart and you know it. Field Dlamini next game, finish 'n klaar," says Lwazihnzimande.
"Banyana are ranked 54th for heaven sake. People act like our team is a world-dominating side. So far the girls have been punching way above their weight and have improved from the last World Cup performance," says Lesoganatsoko.
"Exactly Banyana has played well so far. Sometimes you need luck you know, but also you create your own luck," replies Mpho.lekome.
