Pirates star hits back at the haters!

A Pirates star has now sent a strong message to those who hate on him and their "negative vibes".

Patrick Maswanganyi has become a beloved figure at the Orlando Stadium, but like every popular person, he has his haters and he took to social media to address them.

The 25-year-old has received praise for his performances this season that helped the club to an MTN8 triumph. The midfielder bagged three assists in four appearances in the tournament.

However, the side's league campaign is not going as well as fans would have hoped before the season kicked off.

The Buccaneers are currently ninth on the Premiership table and have won just one of their last five encounters. With that poor run of form, criticism is bound to come the way of the players. However, "Tito" seems determined to not let the negativity affect him and his performances.

He acknowledged that there may be people who dislike him, but admitted that they serve as a motivation for him to work harder.

"For those of you that don't support that don't like me I appreciate it very much cause your negative vibes makes me get up much earlier," Maswanganyi wrote on Instagram.

He did, however, say "I love You guys" at the end of the message. Whether he was referring to those who show him support and spread positivity or to the haters themselves is anyone's guess!

Fellow teammate Zakhele Lepasa also got involved by taking to the comments section to joke about on his peer's post.

"Jwale why am I catching smoke? I don't text you for one day then you come at me with your caption?" Lepasa wrote humorously.
