Thamsanqa Gabuza once wore a pair of shoes that would cost more than most people's pieces of furniture!

The attacker joined the Rockets in July this year, but had already represented a host of South African clubs that include Durban Stars FC, Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United.
In his ongoing professional career, he has made a staggering 315 appearances, scoring 47 goals and bagging 20 assists, per Transfermarkt.
Gabuza, at the tender age of 36, has already recorded himself in the history of football in Mzansi and while doing it, he has also solidified himself as somewhat as a fashion trailblazer with his simple, but pricey and very fashionable attires.
On one occasion, he donned a fancy outfit that consisted of a sleek white shirt with a red tie, matched carefully with a well-tailored blue suit pants that gave him the look of an office executive as he chugged a bottle of water. On a separate instance, he paired a greyish suit with a stand-out orange tie and a fabulous pair of white sneakers, pushing boundaries by making us reconsider the concept of traditional formal attire. He pulled off what many would probably say does not work, proving them wrong and shedding light on another perspective. If anything, he proved that sneakers and suits can go hand-in-hand.
That, however, is not the attire that would make heads turn. Gabuza and other footballers walked around with price tags on their clothes, everyone would look on with their eyes and mouths wide open! Fortunately, however, that is not the case. It would take more effort than simply looking at a footballer if he were, in an instance that would be quite unlikely, to randomly cross your path.
For example, the striker once wore a shoe that would make most people, other than footballers, think twice about even looking at it more than once. The shoe in question is the Yeezy Foam Runners which can cost north of R8,499 according to Farfetch. In some cases, different variants of the Foam Runner can cost above R10 000, depending on where you're looking. In fact, Farfetch priced another version of the shoe, the 'Sand', at R10 742. Nevertheless, it's a popular shoe designed by an internationally renowned figure, Kanye West.
The sneaker is certainly very unique in its design as it breaks the barriers of normality, forcing us to question what a sneaker really is, and the Foam Runners seem to have re-defined the norm. Since adidas and Yeeezy (Kanye's brand) initially collaborated in 2015, the shoe is said to be well-loved by sneaker-heads around the globe. According to Footwear News, the Foam Runner was such hit that it retailed at it first retailed at $75 (R1 410), but due to the demand outweighing its availability, the shoes would sky-rocket in price.
Because the shoe is not a traditional sneaker, who better than Gabuza to find a way to use it to create the perfect outfit. He did it as he usually does, keeping it simple but marvellously elegant at the same time. He paired the shoes with a pair of long white socks, a black pants, a DSL shirt and a hat.
