Cardoso: It’s absolutely insane what’s happening to Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso says the Brazilians have an 'insane' schedule after defeating Sekhukhune United on Wednesday night.

The runaway leaders continued to widen the gap at the top of the table as goals from Thapelo Morena, Lucas Suarez. Lucas Ribeiro and Arthur Sales secured a 4-2 win.

As such, the Brazilians are now 15 points clear ahead of second-place Orlando Pirates who weren't in action this evening.

"A very difficult match, very difficult context. It was good that in the right moments we scored, that gave us obviously an emotional advantage. But also, I think we started the game very well," Cardoso told SuperSport TV.

"We controlled very well the match, that allowed us to gain a good advantage. Anyway, it was difficult to react to the style of game that Sekhukhune put it. They just played long balls, long balls, aggressive.

"So, you are always trying to play football and build from the back. Quite difficult context. Anyway, respect for respect for my players they did their best and obviously they deserved to win," he added.

The Portuguese-born once again lamented their scheduling of fixtures and referencing it 'no respect for a human being' and doesn't know how it is possible.

"I said it and I will repeat this, it's absolutely insane what's happening to Sundowns," he added.

"The schedule it's insane, it's not normal, it doesn't respect a human being and I think it should be thought of and well considered because I don't know how it's possible.

"But we keep alive, we struggle and we'll continue pushing forward for sure," Cardoso said.
