Sundowns outline new arrivals factors

Argentine defender Lucas Suarez has already left an impression at Mamelodi Sundowns just a month after arriving on loan from CA Talleres.

Suarez has only just completed a month at Sundowns but has already proven his qualities, playing in six consecutive league matches.

For left-footed centre back options, the Tshwane giants are now settled with Suarez and Mosa Lebusa, while Divine Lunga can also play there just like he has done before.

"Regarding Lucas, it is not an easy job for me because we have centre-back options," says Cardoso.

"Of course, Lucas has been doing quite well.

"It is not easy because the style of the game is not the same as South America in Argentina.

"Too many long balls to cope with and so too many runs back.

"I think he is coping with it, but you need to manage him the right way for him to be always available for us," explains the Sundowns coach.

Cardoso also responded to questions on another January signing Jayden Adams, whose integration has been smooth as well.

"Jayden is indeed a player that likes to play football.

"He is a very clever player that we need.

"Everybody likes clever players that can manage the ball in the right way and play in the spaces and position on the spaces and manage the rhythm of the game.

"So, of course, he is one of the ones that has been helping us amongst the others.

"It is collective work," says Cardoso.
