This will be the 30th league match in charge for Mokwena and worth noting is that he is still undefeated in this competition since taking over as the sole head coach in October 2022.
Under Mokwena, Sundowns have won 23 wins and drawn six.
The teams that have lined up to receive a whip from Sundowns under Mokwena in the league are Orlando Pirates (thrice), Richards Bay (thrice), while Kaizer Chiefs, Royal AM, SuperSport United, Chippa United, and Sekhukhune United have all gotten a beating twice.
Moroka Swallows, TS Galaxy, Golden Arrows, Polokwane City, Stellenbosch, and the two clubs relegated last season, Maritzburg United and Marumo Gallants, have all handed over three points once.
Only AmaZulu and Cape Town Spurs remain and are the next two opponents that Downs face in the league.
With 27 points in the bag already after moving to the longest winning start to a new season, the champions now need 45 points from 21 games to set a new points record.
The Brazilians went up to 71 points in winning the 2015/16 title under Pitso Mosimane.
At the rate at which they are moving, Sundowns will also move to the quickest dash to the title and possibility win the league with at least eight games remaining.
Last season, they secured the title with seven to play.
As it stands, Sundowns will need to get to 77 points as the highest that any other team can reach is 76 points, provided Cape Town City win all their remaining 17 games.
