Mamelodi Sundowns have touched new grounds in the current transfer window by growing their Latin Americans to five with revelations of that they were also offered an Argentine goal scoring machine.
Sundowns now have Brazilian winger Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Argentine midfielder Junior Mendieta, Gaston Sirino from Uruguay, Marcelo Allende (Chilean), and Bolivian Erwin Saavedra.

That is three footballers from two of the the top three ranked countries in the world.
With a Latino influence in their dressing that has the Spanish/Portuguese language it shows how wide Sundowns' appeal has stretched beyond the continent.
Yet for all the South Americans that are now at Chloorkop along with those that have been able wear to wear the Sundowns colours in recent years who include Emiliano Tade, Ricardo Nascimento, Leonardo Castro, Mauricio Affonso, and Jose Ali Meza there has been one huge name that Sundowns was were offered and turned down.
His name is Greman Cano.
Cano is a goal-scoring machine currently in the books of Brazilian giants Fluminense.
KickOff has been informed that three years ago Cano's name was tabled as an option for Sundowns, but his age was immediately flagged as a concern.
The Argentine was 32 at the time and the weight of his package was slightly heavier despite being open to the move.

Cano is now 35 and still scoring goals.
In the calendar year 2023, Cano has 26 goals in 35 appearances.
Last year (2022), the veteran forward had 44 goals in 69 appearances while in the four years prior to that his scoring numbers have read 19, 24, 41, and 37 respectively playing for Independiente Medelin (Colombia), Vasco da Gama and Fluminense.
Cano was the top scorer in Brazil's Serie A last season with 26 goals and has seven top goal scorer awards in his career.
