Head coach Fadlu Davids admits Maritzburg United will find it difficult to hang onto the club's most sought-after stars, with the race intensifying for the highly-rated Karim Kimvuidi.
Maritzburg kept their hopes alive of remaining in the DStv Premiership with a 1-1 draw against DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns to move out of the relegation zone at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday night.

Davids' side will now be hoping that Marumo Gallants and Chippa United fail to pick up points on the final day of the season.
Reflecting on his side's season Davids admitted that it could prove difficult to hang onto the club's standout players.
"Kimvuidi yes, we know he's highly, highly talented but it's about constantly getting into his mindset and developing him.
"He's still a child.
"All these teams want him and yes he has big ambitions and it's about us finding the right balance to be able to help him achieve what he wants to out of his football career."
Speculation has been intensifying that DStv Premiership sides such as Kaizer Chiefs are set to test Maritzburg's resolve to hang onto the midfielder.
"It's so difficult without a sponsor where it's just about strategic planning because you also can't keep a player who wants to go to the next level," Davids added.
"So, if a club from Europe comes in for Kimvuidi and the price is right, who are we to say no Maritzburg needs you because we're going to build a monster team.
"You can do that but does the player have the patience.
"The chairman has been very open with the players where he has urged them to have one more season, then we'll be open to possibilities [of completing a transfer].
"You want to, and you can build a monster of a team, but you need the financial backing to be able to keep these players happy as Sundowns have done."
