Bizana Pondo Chiefs sign Nkosingiphile Phewa and Kyle Davies

As reported by snl24.com/kickoff, the duo will reunite with Arrows legend Musa Bilankulu, who also joined the Eastern Cape outfit earlier this month.

Phewa (26) and Davies (30) are not new to the first division as they previously played for Real Kings before joining Abafana Bes'thende under coach Steve Komphela.

Chiefs boss Nkosinathi Mqokiyana has expressed his delight at securing the services of the duo for the AmaMpondo football club and revealed his expectations for the two new signings.

"I am excited to have Phewa in our squad because he is a proven striker in the league," said the chairman in a statement.

"I expect them to help us in leadership and the experience they possess is needed at the club, hence we have the likes of Musa Bilankulu."

Wing-back Davies has expressed his happiness at being part of the Indomitable Lions of Skomplaz by promising to add value and help the team create more chances.

"The last team I played for was Lamontville Golden Arrows and obviously I am looking forward to playing here, to working hard to help the team score goals and I can't wait to start playing," Davies said.

Meanwhile, forward Phewa believes that as a striker he will assist in scoring goals and getting maximum points to make sure that come the end of the season, the Eastern Cape is represented by two teams in the DStv Premiership.

"Playing for Arrows last season, I think that experience will boost confidence to the club and I need the game-time so that I will assist in finishing," Phewa added.

Phewa and Davies have already started training with Eastern Cape side.
