Heric was relieved of his duties at the struggling Spurs after his unavailability due to Covid-19 complications saw them part ways amicably.
His assistant Ian Taylor who assumed the role as caretaker alongside Cape Town football legend Nathan Paulse have now earned their new roles on a permanent basis.
"The main objective is to get the structure and organisation right in the team – trying to get the balance right, and at the same time, trying to get the results," Taylor told the club's website.
"We're taking it one game at a time and trying not to get too far ahead of ourselves. It's a matter of playing out of our organisational structures basically – and working on elements of conditioning and scoring, which we're lacking."
Spurs are currently in 15th place and 10 points off league leaders Sekhukhune after 12 games played in the GladAfrica Championship this season.
