After turning down an offer from Kaizer Chiefs for the services of winger Asanele Velebayi, it looks like Cape Town Spurs could find an overseas market to sell their most prized asset.
Spurs have sold striker Ashley Cupido to Stellenbosch FC after both parties agreed on a transfer fee on Tuesday evening.
The towering marksman's departure from the Urban Warriors came hot on the heels of the club turning down an offer from Chiefs to buy Velebayi.

Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou has gone as far as telling the Naturena-based side that "the shop is closed now", as they no longer intend on going any further with that deal.
This effectively means the 21-year-old's dream of joining his boyhood club is effectively on pause.
Now, the club's boss Ari Efstathiou says they have set their sights on selling Velebayi outside the country after attracting interest from Europe.
"We are busy with something outside the country. Like I said, I don't want to talk more about this (issue with Chiefs). There is so much that has been written about this, we are just going around the circles", Efstathiou tells KickOff.
Meanwhile, Spurs are reportedly trying to lure back Boitumelo Radiopane after letting go of Cupido.

'Radioman', as he is affectionately known, spent last season on loan at the Ikamva-based outfit Spurs from Orlando Pirates.
"For now, I am not sure what the plan is with him [Radiopane]. Again, it's up to Radiopane and Pirates," Efstathiou added.
Bucs are a little thin up front after letting both Kermit Erasmus and Souaibou Marou leave after the end of last season, with Zakhele Lepasa also linked with an exit.
