The intermediary representing Cameroonian striker Auguste Junior Boum Somlaga has confirmed that their case against JDR Stars has been settled.
JDR – who play in the Motsepe Foundation Championship – had a three-window ban imposed with effect from April 17 in the matter relating to Somlaga following a breach of contract and a claim of USD35 000 (approx. R640 000).

Somlaga signed for JDR from Panthere Sportive du Nde in January 2021 but then left for Indian club Kenkre FC six months later.
However, he did so with unsettled contractual issues with JDR, which then forced him to file a case with FIFA after failing to reach a mutual agreement with the club Nditsheni Nemasisi owned and coached club.
After dragging for some time FIFA then made their ruling in favour of Somlaga in February this year, with the ban then effected in April after JDR failed to pay within the stipulated time-frame.
A week ago, FIFA took out JDR's name from clubs banned from registering new players.
FIFA-registered agent Amadou Fontem Tigana, who works with Somlaga, has now confirmed that the matter has been resolved almost three years after JDR asked for their banking details.
"The club has paid us as per FIFA's ruling, and the case is sorted now, which is why the ban has been lifted," says Tigana.

JDR Stars open the season on August 24 against Upington City at the Giant Stadium and then travel to Milford a week later.
They have become the second club to have a ban lifted after Richards Bay FC also came off the hook recently when they also paid what FIFA had ordered them to pay.
