Cape Town Spurs have given a hint of how much it will cost top-flight clubs to get red-hot striker Ashley Cupido, who is understood to be unsettled at the club, to sign on the dotted line for them.
The young striker has proven to be a natural goalscorer since he first appeared on the professional football scene.
In the 2022/23 season, he scored 15 goals to help his side to within a whisker of automatic promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Spurs did ultimately reach the promised land that is the elite division following the end of that campaign, albeit via the play-offs route.

Last term, the towering forward managed seven goals. The 22-year has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs for two seasons now.
With Amakhosi having already secured the signature of Rushwin Dortley, it is believed they are now considering bringing in Cupido, a kind of finisher they lacked last season.
"Ashley's situation is very similar to Rushwin's, there are also some clubs from overseas looking to sign him," Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou exclusively tells KickOff.
"I think if clubs are interested, they must move fast because if we let him go, then we must be able to find a replacement."
Asked about the 23-year-old handing in a transfer request, the Urban Warriors chief executive said that was not necessarily the case.
"Of course, if you ask any player in every team if they want to go somewhere, they will say yes. But I don't think that qualifies as a transfer request."
Efstathiou says the marksman, who was in the recent Bafana Bafana squad that got knocked out of the group stage of the COSAFA Cup, will cost interested teams the price of two Ferraris.
