Umoya co-owner Roger de Sa confirmed to this website that his club has applied for government assistance to pay their players back following 50 percent reductions.
Dube Birds boss David Mogashoa confirms that Swallows paid their players in full last month.
"The players were given their salaries last month and there were no issues," Mogashoa tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Meanwhile, SAFPU deputy secretary general Calvin Motloung applauds the GladAfrica Championship teams that have honoured contracts and paid players for April.
"We want to thank all those teams that have showed a high level of professionalism by paying their players' salaries last month," says Motloung.
"We also want to thank those teams that have tried to engage the players to discuss issues related to salaries with the hope of finding common ground and solutions.
"We want to appeal to those teams that still owe players salaries to act accordingly. You must remember, these players also have families to feed and without salaries some are struggling to put food on the table."
