Former Golden Arrows, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Highlands Park defensive midfielder Thanduyise Khuboni has been with the club for two days.
The 33-year-old has been without a club since 2017, and Uthongathi head coach Johnny Ferreira admits the player needs work.

"At the moment he is very unfit ja. Very, very unfit," Ferreira tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I don't know when last he played competitively, so you know these African kids of ours they are sharp, they are fit, they are strong, they are dynamic... so it might take him a little bit longer.

"But I will give him a decent assessment period you know. I know him well from Black Aces and of course he played with Golden Arrows and he was a superstar hey.
"Ja, he was a superstar Khuboni. I don't know if he's still got the hunger, but we'll see that in our assessment over the next two weeks."
