"The Pirates versus Chiefs cup final should be a normal occurrence because ever since... we have always looked forward to seeing Chiefs play Pirates in the final," Masegela tells KickOff.
"It's a bonus that the two teams will now face each other in a cup final, with higher stakes.
"To be honest, both teams are symbols of South African soccer and deserve to be in this position. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen often nowadays.
"This time, it has happened though, and I think it’s suitable for everyone, including the teams that have been knocked out. The true ambassadors of South African football are now taking center stage.
"Yesterday, both Chiefs and Sundowns lacked the confidence to win the game; it was more a matter of 'let's try and see what happens' from both sets of players. There was no clear dominance.

"They were playing not to lose; we saw more defending than attacking. Both teams were very cautious.
"So it's a dream come true whenever Chiefs play Pirates in a final; it's what people expect from both giants.
"It's a positive for every soccer follower to see both teams meeting at this stage of the competition, in the spotlight."
