From the PSL era years, Bucs will become the first club to appear in three finals in a row in this competition, which has previously been played as the BOB Save Super Bowl and Absa.
Pirates’ arrival in the Nedbank Cup final will be Riveiro’s sixth at the club.
He has won all five (three in the MTN8 and two in the Nedbank Cup).
“The consequence is that Orlando Pirates is again in the cup final, and it is something to appreciate, celebrate, and embrace,” says Riveiro.
“We are in a good moment as a team in terms of everything, but again, it is nice to be in the final, but we have to find a way to play that final to the best of our capacity whenever it comes.
“Happiness in the group, happiness in the team, the club, and the fans,” says Riveiro.
“Every game we play now is going to be a final.
“The points are very expensive, the victories are very expensive in the last part of the season for everyone because everyone is fighting for something important, so we know it is going to be difficult.
“We know it is going to be difficult.
“We know that the games are not going to be as open as early in the season.
“We are talking about a different story now because there are a lot of important things to play for.
“We are getting the confidence from these performances and results.
“The team knows that our best performances are enough to win the games and that is what we are looking for all the time,” he adds.
