Morrison rushed to the touchline and walked on his knees by the technical area at Orlando Stadium after scoring his second goal in a 2-0 victory.
Ertugral, who had a brief stint coaching Pirates last season, took over the reins at Ajax from Stanley Menzo in December for a fourth spell in charge of the relegation-threatened outfit.
"There was some problems going between Muhsin and I and the celebration was meant to him," said Morrison, who did not elaborate on the matter.
The Ghanaian was linked with an exit at Mayfair during the past transfer window but reiterated his value with a man-of-the-match display in Soweto.
"If can't grab the opportunity with both hands it means I don't appreciate the chance that the technical team gave me, and I had to return the favour by delivering a good performance," said the former AS Vita midfielder.
Meanwhile, Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has urged Morrison to build on the performance.
"He brings good spirit in the team. We are always in a good mood. He is the one spicing up the good mood in the team," the Serbian said.
"His hard work has paid off. But at the same moment he has done a thing from what he is capable of. He must continue working hard."
