The Buccaneers went into the derby with the likes of Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng sitting on two yellow cards, which meant two more bookings they would miss the clash against Sundowns.

Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro put all eggs in one basket against Sekhukhune, as goalkeeper Sipho Chaine, Kabelo Dlamini and Thabiso Sesane were all sitting on three yellow cards and were one booking away of missing the trip to Tshwane.
To the relief of Riveiro and The Ghosts, all of Chaine, Dlamini and Sesane survived the Babina Noko test without any cautions and Ezimnyama will face Sundowns without any suspensions.
The Bloemfontein native shot-stopper was at risk of missing the derby against Chiefs with three yellow cards and was not included in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 clash against Richards Bay prior to the biggest game in the South African football calendar.
