Orlando Stadium has been buzzing this season with the Ghost in expectant mood about further success, which has the league title as the prime target.
The Spaniard has finished second in two years in a row, but of concern has been how huge the gap has been with Mamelodi Sundowns, who were 23 points ahead last season and 16 in the previous campaign.
"We know how difficult it is to finish at the top of a league that has been dominated by one team for six years collecting huge number of points," points out Riveiro.
"In my opinion, it is everyone's responsibility in the competition to make the league more competitive and have more teams fighting for the top.
"That is what I think is going to happen as we have much better sides this season.
"The competition looks more balanced, but let's see once the games start.
"In our case, we want to finish better than the last time in terms of the football that we want to play and the points that we want to collect.
"We want to make sure that we are amongst the teams fighting for the top in the last stages of the season," he notes, adding that he has thoughts on the Champions League group stages as well.
