Wydad Casablanca head coach Rulani Mokwena could play another key role in the future of an Orlando Pirates star, who has attracted interest on the continent and abroad.
Since Mokwena was appointed head coach at Wydad, he has influenced the signing of Cassius Mailula, acquired on loan from United States outfit Toronto.

The presence of the 38-year-old has also opened and made negotiations seamless for the transfer of Thembinkosi Lorch from Sundowns on loan until the end of the campaign.
Even though the Moroccan giants made signings in the January transfer window, such as Mickael Malsa, Fahd Moufi and Samuel Obeng, they are still looking to bolster their squad further ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in June.
According to a report by French publication Africafoot - which has a network in Moroccan football - Wydad have shown serious interest in signing Pirates star winger Relebohile Mofokeng.
The outlet have suggested The Red Castle have dangled a carrot of participating in the Club World Cup to the 20-year-old to lure him from Soweto.
L'équipe went on to report that Wydad have opened talks with Bucs, with the aim of discussing his potential transfer.
Mokwena could be seen as an integral part of opening talks with Pirates for Wydad, given his access to the hierarchy at the club.
Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos stated last month that he does not believe the young sensation will still be a Buccaneer by the end of June and hopes he joins a team where he will be guaranteed game-time.

Wydad could be one of the clubs that could offer Mofokeng the guarantee of game-time ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Moroccan giants could also offer Mofokeng the right preparation and proper introduction to European football, with the young players in Botola Pro easily making a transition to European teams directly, if they impress consistently.
