The big Colombian was offered 454 minutes (13 appearances) but came out with blanks, forcing Chiefs not to take up the option of turning his loan into a permanent move.
This meant a return to Bolivian parent club Real Santa Cruz, where he has quickly gotten on the scoring bike.
Monday was another day for another goal – which was his second since he returned last month.
Gonzalez scored from the spot to restore Santa Cruz's lead just before the break against Aurora at home, but the visitors equalised in the second half, with the game ending 2-2.
Santa escaped defeat after Aurora had their third goal disallowed later in the match.
While Gonzalez has now scored two goals – both penalties in games that ended in draws – since returning to Bolivia, what is unfortunate is that his club remains bottom of the standings and is faced with the prospect of relegation.
