Romanian authorities are reported to have identified a fan who struck Siyabonga Ngezana with an object thrown from the stands during FCSB’s recent clash on Sunday.
FCSB took another step towards securing back-to-back Romania SuperLiga titles this past weekend.
The reigning champions recorded a 2-1 victory over Rapid Bucuresti in the sixth match of the play-off phase, extending their lead at the top of the table with just four games remaining.

However, the match got off to a troubling start for Ngezana in particular, as he was struck by an object from the stands in the third minute of the game.
Medical staff quickly attended to the South African defender after he went down, but fortunately, he was cleared to continue playing.
According to DigiSport, the Romanian Gendarmerie (law enforcement authorities) have identified the individual responsible for the incident, who was reportedly seated in the second stand area of the Giulesti Stadium.
In a statement issued by the Romanian Gendarmerie, the individual now faces a fine as well as a ban from attending sporting events for up to one year.
"At the beginning of the first half, an individual threw an object from the stands, hitting a player from the visiting team.
"Gendarmes identified a person suspected of committing the act, and following a review of operational footage, measures will be taken in accordance with current legislation.
"In this context, the individual risks a fine ranging from 500 to 1,500 lei (approximately between R2 000 to R6 500), as well as a complementary sanction banning access to competitions and sporting events of the same type for a period of one year."
